  •         How to become a Certified Veteran Enterprise
  •         How to find Veteran friendly employers
  •         Meet a host of resource partners supporting veteran organizations including a visit from the SBA's Veteran Procurement Liaison from Washington D.C.
For Small Business:
  •         Learn how the small business jobs act is benefiting small businesses, and how you can leverage this to boost your own business
  •         Network and meet a wealth of small business support organization in Washington State
  •         Free training on cost effective ways to mediate and resolve conflicts in the workplace and in business.
For the Community:
  •         Meet local veteran business owners and veteran workers looking to serve you.
  •         Learn about great organizations supporting veterans and small business and how you can refer veterans to those who can help
  •         Understand how helping veterans find these resources brings federal funds to veterans and the community.
  •         Learn about incentives and tax credits for hiring veterans

0800-0900 - Welcome, opening remarks and introductions
  •          Mission of the SWVBRC
  •          What Public Law 106-50 means for Veterans and Veteran Business Owners
  •          How to obtain certification as a Veteran Owned small Business or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business through the VA’s Center for Veterans Enterprise.

0900-1100Free resources to help your business grow and thrive (listed organizations are invited)
  •          Washington State Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC)
  •          Small Business Development Centers: From business planning to counseling and much more, the Washington Small Business Development Center network can add a wealth of knowledge and resources improve your chances for success.
  •          Service Corps of Retired Executives: Acquire mentorship, counseling, and guidance from retired business executives who volunteer their time to support small business.
  •          Upcoming Training Classes hosted at the SWVBRC in 2013
  •          Veterans Business Outreach Center - SBA Grant funded initiative in Washington State

1100-1200 - Break-out groups first 30 minutes followed by general discussion and "harvesting" of best ideas during the second half.
